Official News : First use of Video support in AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2024
The Asian Football Confederation has introduced video support (VS) technology to help referee the AFC Futsal Asian Cup for the first time. The principles of use are the same as those used in the Thai Futsal League. You can request one half at a time. In the event that the request is successful, you can request continuously. If the request is unsuccessful, the right to that half will be forfeited immediately. If extra time is played, one more time can be requested.
For requesting VS, it can be done by The head coach (or assigned team official) of both teams has the following cases:
1.Is it a door or not a door?
2. Penalty or no penalty?
3. Red card or no red card?
4. Misidentification
In addition, the referee also has cases where the referee can request to see it himself. The timing of checking to see if the ball has entered the line or not and the timing of overlap during timeouts.
