September 27, 2023 at Golden Tulip Sovereign Hotel, Bangkok, Volleyball Association of Thailand Held a press conference for the 8th Volleyball Academy League competition in 2023 and the Pro Challenge 2024 professional volleyball competition.

The 8th Volleyball Academy League 2023 will compete between 3-8 October 2023 at Thesaban 1 School (Yiam Kessuwan), Samut Prakan Province. There will be 8 clubs from the Volleyball Thailand League season 2022-. 23 participated in the competition
As for the competition format It will be divided into 2 groups of 4 teams. Each group will compete in a round robin format. To rank 1-4 and will be paired with No. 1 meets No. 4 and No. 2 meets No. 3 in the quarter-finals per year.
Meanwhile, Volleyball Pro Challenge 2024 will compete between 10-15 October 2023 at the Nimibutr Sports Building. National Stadium And there will be 7 teams competing in each category to select 2 teams to be promoted to the Volleyball Thailand League in the 2023-24 season.
In total, 7 teams will divide the competition into 2 groups, 4 teams per group and 3 teams per group. Each group competes in a round robin format. To select 1-2nd place from each group. Continue through to the semi-finals.

Olympic volleyball qualification process
Twelve teams per gender participate in the volleyball competition at the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
As the host nation, France, the current men’s Olympic volleyball champions, has secured its place in both the men’s and the women’s competitions. The other 11 quota places per gender are allocated via a two-step qualification process that ensures the best volleyball nations can participate in the event while observing the principle of universality.
Step 1 - FIVB Road to Paris Volleyball Qualifiers
Six Olympic quota places per gender are contested during the FIVB Road to Paris Volleyball Qualifiers where the top 24 teams as per the FIVB Volleyball Senior World Ranking (WR) not yet qualified are split into three single round-robin pools of eight teams each. The top two teams of each pool qualify for Paris 2024.
Step 2 - Universality selection
The remaining five places per gender are filled by selecting the top five not yet qualified teams in the FIVB WR as of the end of the Preliminary Phase of Volleyball Nations League 2024. To guarantee the principle of universality, these teams are selected as per the following order of priority: 1) Teams from continents without qualified teams, and 2) Top teams not yet qualified.
