Add options! The association organized a test for referees before entering VAR to support Thai League 2 duties.
The Football Association of Thailand, under "Madame Pang" Nuanphan Lamsam, president of the association, supports and promotes development in various areas in an all-round way, especially in raising the level of referees. Recently, it has been approved to test referees. and assistant referee To select people with knowledge and ability to participate in the VAR Referee training course to increase efficiency and support more duties in the professional football league.
The said test will take place at the futsal field, 2nd floor, inside the FA Thailand building, Hua Mak, on May 8, 2024.
Referee Development Department The first round of referees was selected by selecting from those who have performed duties at the Thai League 1 and Thai League 2 levels, between the ages of 20-40.
There were 93 people who passed the application criteria, divided into 42 male referees, 42 male referees, 6 female, 40 male assistant referees and 5 female assistant referees
The referee development department There will be a selection examination to select 24 referees and 24 assistant referees. For the said test, it will be divided into 3 topics: 1. Laws of the game 40 rules 2. 40 VAR principles 3. Video test 20 By those who passed the test and have been selected to attend a total of 6 VAR Referee training courses in order to receive a license to act as a referee in the Video Assistant Referee room at the Thai League 1 and Thai League 2 levels.
For training, it consists of the following courses:

2. VAR SIMULATOR
3. VAR Offline Training
4. VAR Live Training (Short Staged Match)
5. VAR Live Training (Full Match-1)
6. VAR Live Training (Full Match-1) Currently, Thailand has a total of 17 referees who can act in the VAR room, including 17 referees and assistant referees
